Today, in conjunction with Murray Machining & Sheds Murray Bridge Speedway, SA Speedcars agreed to postpone this weekend’s 67th South Australian Speedcar Championship and round four of the Six Crown Speedcar Series as both groups realised with dates clashes in our neighbouring states reducing the chance of many Speedcar superstars; we can’t deliver the top-notch wheel-to-wheel Speedcar show race fans have become accustomed to watching! Likewise with the jam-packed event at Murray Bridge this weekend, it also moves the event to the more flexible Easter Saturday night which was originally locked in as a Speedcar club show.
Rather than disappoint with a limited field battling it out for over $7k in prizemoney, the new Easter Saturday night on April 15th should be more accessible to interstate travellers! It is also night one of the Easter double header in SA, which means the class moves onto Adelaide on Eater Sunday 16th.
"We're pleased to be moving the 67th SA Speedcar title to the 15th of April" said Murray Bridge Speedway Venue Administrator Darren Shaddock. "That is the final night of the Australian F500 title and will also see the Legend cars in SA for their annual event, so with the Speedcars adding their state title it should be a fantastic night of racing".
SA Speedcars thank the awesome race fans and Speedcar followers across SA for their ongoing support of the division and Murray Bridge Speedway; plus the travelling teams who locked in their event nominations for this weekend. We apologise for any inconvenience and look forward to putting on a cracking show at Easter!
