TEAM NEWS: Michael Stewart & Dillon Motorsport Race Recap:
On Saturday night we ran the Nulon, Mainline DynoLog Dynamometers owned Stephen Dillon SA 9 Speedcar at the Beasley Memorial held at Avalon Speedway Club. Our heats went well coming from the rear to 4th in heat 1 trying to run where everyone else wasnt to make ground up. Heat 2 we held the lead starting from pole which helped our points for the feature.
Starting from position 4 in the feature we knew the track was rough on tyres, so we put on the hardest tyre we had to try make sure we lasted the distance. The feature was cut 10 laps short due to time constraints moving straight into 3rd position on the start we tried to work the top side of the track to make ground on the front 2 cars. Once we worked out the top wasnt working we went down track and stayed there for the remainder of the race.
A yellow came with 8 laps remaining right as our car was coming on. From the green we worked our way forward getting to 2nd with 5 laps left run. Working over the leader and finally getting past with one lap to go timing our run perfectly and taking the win.
The car and the team did an awesome job and we're extremely happy with our efforts. To all our sponsors: Nulon Mainline DynoLog Dynamometers P1 Australia
We would like to thank you for your continued support.
Also a huge thanks to Stephen Dillon for taking the car all the way to Avalon and glad we could give you some great memories along with all the crew for making the trip down.
Our next outting will be in the Mainline DynoLog Dynamometers NSW 51 CP3 on the 5th of December for the 3rd round of the Speedcar Super Series.
